Brian's World engineers are going to allow members to purchase or win parts as they become available. What you will need will be to acquire 4 sections that make up Ares V (this rocket sends up the fuel and payload you will need to complete your mission and is shown on the left). Then 3 sections are required that make up Ares I which is the rocket that takes you as the astronaut up into space.
Once you have obtained all 7 parts needed, then you will be able to pick which one of the 3 possible landing areas you want to land on to find and pick up one of the money stashes.
You will then be whisked away into space with a 90% chance of making it to the moon. If you make it, you will once again have a 90% chance of meeting your mission of finding the cash. If this works out, you'll just have to go through one more 90% chance of making it back to earth.
If you are successful in the full mission, you'll get to keep the cash! There's nothing in the rules to say you can't work together with other members to put together a mission (you'll then need to share the reward).
