HORSE RACING GUIDELINES
RACES ARE RUN MOST EVERY WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY

Each new horse must go through the TRAINING PERIOD where they must participate in
a series of races (no more than 5). If a horse should have any combination of wins, places, and shows that adds up to 3 times, then the horse will qualify to move into the standard race track. However, if a horse fails to end up in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place three times by the finish of the 5th race in the training period, that horse will be released from the track.

Training Race Payoffs: Win: $300 Place: $150 Show: $75

The STANDARD RACES consists of horses which have been promoted from the training period. A horse will be released from the track if it fails to perform at a winning rate of at least 50% starting at the point in which a horse has been in 4 races. If a horse has 2 wins in this bracket or earns a total of $3000 between the training period and the Standard races, it must move up to the championship bracket.

Standard Race Payoffs: Win: $500 Place: $250 Show: $125

The RACE OF CHAMPIONS for horses that are skilled enough to reach this level are placed in the races that are the main feature of Gano Downs Raceway. These special horses will continue to earn money at this highest rate as long as they keep ending up in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. If a horse should fall into 4th or 5th place two times, that will be the end of that horse's lifetime at this track. Champions will be featured in the Hall of Fame as long as they have at least one win, place, or show..

Race of Champions Payoffs: Win: $1000 Place: $500 Show: $250

There are times when a WILD HORSE jumps into the races without notice! If your horse beats a Wild Horse in your race, you will earn double if you win, place or show that race.
